Don't be so hard on yourself, I don't think this is mediocre at all! This really hits the nail on the head for the mood and I can easily picture this as a main track in a Monkey Ball type game. For me hitting the mood just right in a track does a ton in making it memorable / enjoyable (though the mixing here is not bad either, and the melody & rhythm slap hard!).

That's a 10 / 10 from me!
